I Spoke At The American Congress

The idea of writing a book about myself came to me while attending a workshop in Washington, USA, on the 5th of June through the 3rd of July, 2009. It gave me the opportunity to speak at an American Congress briefing.

We were 26 women from 19 countries at a one-month workshop organized by the Centre for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA) for the Global Women in Management class 48 (GWIM48). Indeed, I was fortunate to have been nominated by ExxonMobil in Nigeria to attend the workshop sponsored by the ExxonMobil Foundation.

I had come to the startling knowledge over time that my life was guided by an unseen, divine hand that always made me pass through special experiences as I went along. My life has always been guided by the hands of God in all the things I have done.

They have placed me in places that have exposed me to incredible opportunities for myself and to impact the lives of others around me. I then decided to capture my experiences in a book, as an inspiration to the younger ones coming behind, for them to know that nothing is impossible as long as they are steadfast and passionate in what they do, believe in themselves and let God drive their thought process. The writing of this book took over ten years to actualize. But I did it.
