Audie has to enjoy the beautiful day only through a window. Doctors say he must stay inside, along with everyone else, to stop the spread of a dangerous disease. Audie understands how important it is to protect his loved ones, but he misses hugs!
He cannot hug his grandparents or friends and not even his big brother who comes to visit and leaves gifts on the porch. To solve the problem of the missing hugs, Audie begins a craft experiment he calls "Send-a-Hug."
