From the moment I walked through the door and saw an innocent little beagle, I realized that my life would never truly be the same. What began as a moment of sobbing and solitude on the floor opened my eyes to the path that I was on to achieve pure love and joy for myself. This is the story of a man who saw his identity in dependency, only to realize that the only reciprocal love is the love of self. 'I Knew It When I Saw The Dog' is a trying personal memoir of the destruction and recreation of a man. Sometimes everything needs to fall apart to be able to put things together again, this time so that peace and purpose last.
