About the author:
Azjaah Rogers is a graduate of Florida State University College of Medicine. She is pursuing a
medical career in the Family Medicine field. Azjaah has always had a passion for both medicine and
creative writing since she was an adolescent. She explored creative arts by writing numerous poems and
short stories. This children's book is a non-fictional depiction of Azjaah's first encounter with an Dr.
Hamilton, an African American Pediatrician. Dr. Hamilton was surely a trailblazer through the care she
provided each year and painted a picture of the wonders of medicine. Azjaah, like Dr. Hamilton, hopes
to inspire other children to pursue a career in medicine through her creative writing and patient care.
