Maile gets home from her adventure on the mainland, only to land in the middle of a murder mystery. The tour job was supposed to be simple: drive a film crew from their Waikiki hotel to Kailua Beach each morning for a week and then back again. What can go wrong with that? A lot, when Hollywood types cross paths with Maile Spencer.

When one of the movie's stars is found dead, police investigate Maile as much as everyone else. Her fake driver's license comes back to haunt her, and when she runs out of excuses, Maile finds herself locked in a jail cell with the cream of Honolulu's late night society.

Secret visits with old friends, sneaking about in disguises, and reclaiming stolen diaries are just a few of the complications in her life while she continues to emerge from the amnesia that has been holding her mind hostage.
