Beskrivelse
The present paper aims to prescribe practical methodologies for the assessment, measurement, and application of changes in ship explicit hull and propeller performance, characterizing a lot of pertinent performance markers for hull and propeller support, fix, and retrofit exercises. Overall, the aim of this project, methodologically, is to analyze the effectiveness and implementation of the ISO 19030 system on vessels.
The Hull and Propeller performance will be assessed in terms of fuel consumption reserves and CO2 emissions based on the required levels of environmental footprint as indicated by the ISO Standard 19030 created by the International Maritime Organization and answer the following questions:
- How can a vessel's performance be measured?
- What are the main factors that affect a vessel's performance?
- Ways to improve a vessel's performance. What is the correlation between vessel performance and fuel consumption?
- What is the correlation between vessel performance and environmental impact?
- How can an in-service period be benchmarked?
- Can future performance of a vessel be predicted during dry docking?
- What are the financial benefits of utilizing ISO 19030 in fleet maintenance planning?
- Regulations taking into consideration ISO 19030 evaluation reports.
