Beskrivelse
The area of Spitalfields in East London has been one of the traditional gathering points for immigrants newly arrived to British shores. Over the past 300 years, several groups have established expatriate communities in the area, from French Huguenots to Jews to the area's most recent inhabitants, Bangladeshis. Anne Kershen uses this area and its shifting populations to provide an insight into Britain's treatment of immigrant groups throughout history.
