This is the combat history of the valiant citizen soldiers who came together in the fall of 1941 to fight and die for the country they loved in order to free the foreign countries that had lived under the Nazi boot for far too many years. From Operation Torch in North Africa to Operation Husky in Sicily, and from D-Day through VE-Day, the 58th Armored Field Artillery Battalion shot artillery for four armies, seven corps, and nineteen divisions in many of the bloodiest, most hard-fought battles of World War II.
