Ari Badu captains a space hauler named the Carry Bell. She's got a run back home on Taarken Prime that needs her attention, and that's not the only thing that needs her attention. Family is always complicated, but, in this case, it's beset with twelve years of secrets that are about to come roaring to the surface as she encounters the man who ruined her life, Caden Carnes. What will happen next is anyone's guess, but Ari can only pray it doesn't take another twelve years to work it all out?
