Beskrivelse
'Homage to Pamela' - in the second book of his three-book series 'Cross-Stitching and Art' author/stitcher John Mangiapane details the process he used to convert artwork by Pamela Colman Smith into counted cross stitch. Finding the chart for the piece was poorly wrought, John changed colors, corrected errors, and won an award for 'Surface Embroidery' in the process. Full color photographs. Although Pamela Colman Smith produced a lifetime of art, she died penniless in 1951 and would have been largely forgotten except for her designs for a Tarot deck. 'Homage to Pamela' centers on her design for The Magician Tarot card - one of the most recognized images in the world.
