Highland Fate

One minute, I'm rummaging through my grandmother's attic, and the next, I'm standing on a windswept hill in the Highlands-centuries away from home. Talk about a whirlwind trip. But there's no time to process the impossible, not when I'm hiding from a group of Highland warriors who think I'm some sort of spy. And then there's Lachlan: tall, brooding, and infuriatingly magnetic. I came here looking for adventure, but this? This is survival, and if I want to fit in (or, you know, not get thrown in a dungeon), I'll need to learn the ways of the clan. Fighting alongside them, training in a world far more dangerous than I ever imagined, and-unfortunately-falling for the one man I can't figure out. As tensions rise, the threat of an English invasion looms, and I'm caught between the life I knew and this one that's pulling me in deeper every day. Can I find my place in a world where history is still being written, or will the fate of the Highlands claim me before I have a chance to decide?
