Hidden

When 17-year old Sam's bullies chase her from the school gates after setting her up for drug pushing, she thinks things can't get any worse until she runs right into the path of a dangerously gifted man who knows how valuable she is. Hearing thoughts has ruined her life and Sam can't imagine why anyone would want her now, after years of being passed around in the care system.



 Bound and gagged in a filthy old cottage, she is terrified when she first sees Nathan, but he promises to help her, taking her under his wing and going against everything he's been trained for, putting his life and his future on the line for a girl he doesn't even know.



He should have reported her to his people but his need to protect her is too strong for him to fight and he can't explain why. She's from the surface but he's Artemian, a race long forgotten, hidden underground for centuries and he should be helping them prepare for their return, not training Sam to control her gift. As his two worlds begin to collide, Sam is oblivious to the danger she could be in...



Hidden is the first part in a series following Sam and Nathan and their struggles to overcome their demons whilst trying to fit into a world where nothing is as it seems. A coming of age story dealing with issues such as anxiety, bullying and growing up in the care system.
