Herbicides have become an important tool as a plant protection agent for boosting food production. However, herbicide use also carries risks that include environmental, ecological and human health effects. This book presents current research in the study of herbicides, including a review of herbicide usage and properties, herbicide degradation studies and environmental implications; bioremediation of herbicide contaminated soil; the environmental fate and effects of 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic herbicide; interactions between herbicides and humic acids present in soils and the alteration of carbohyte metabolism of grapevine after herbicide treatment
