Beskrivelse
This volume is the result of a unique Germany-wide network of junior researchers from several fields of law. They discuss current issues in European security research from a legal point of view. In the first part of the book various aspects of civil security in the European and international mul-tilevel-system are analyzed, such as data retention, the prohibition of double jeopardy, the prohi-bition of torture and the management of the EU's external borders. The second part deals with particular security issues in both the economy and society. Topics covered include IT-security, the research related to information restrictions imposed by export control, whistleblowing, restric-tions on the freedom of association and the civil defense of the constitution. This volume will be a rewarding reading for all those who wish to obtain an informative overview on the multifaceted spectrum of European civil security law or who intend to participate in the ongoing discourse on security law.
