Henry wakes up in his new home, excited to play with the kids and go on new adventures with them. He soon realizes he was left home alone. Confused and scared, Henry is determined to find them and make sure he's not alone again. Join Henry on his adventure as he searches for his family so he isn't home alone.
The Oh Henry series is based on real-life events. In this adventure, we learn about separation anxiety that an adopted animal may experience, and how to make them feel secure and loved. Older dogs may have come from situations out of their control, or they have been moved around a lot. They probably don't understand what happened and why they were taken away. Separation anxiety in animals is common, but it's how we deal with it and help them overcome it that makes the difference. Brenda Dzierlinga realized Henry was special, and he could teach others through all of his adventures. This book emphasizes empathy and understanding, and how to interact through kindness.
