Tommy and Nicholas come inside soaked from playing in the rain. While Nicholas' mother gets them dry clothes and puts the kettle on for warm cocoa, the boys realize that their penises look different from one another's. Through age-appropriate dialogue and an honest but simple conversation with Nicholas' mother, the boys discover that their bodies are normal and perfect just the way that they are, circumcised or uncircumcised. 'Helmets and Hoses offers a wonderful, comfortable and rare opportunity to teach body positivity to boys at a young age. Making little boys aware that their bodies may differ but that they are all beautiful brings hope that locker room body shaming will soon become something of the past.'Mary Campbell, Mother of three boys.
