A comic medical thriller set in modern Poland. An impoverished, God-fearing woman strives to keep her dignity in the world of the rich, the beautiful and the learned. Seeking health care, Hela becomes entrapped at a giant corporation's secretive research center, where she is transformed against her will in unimaginable ways. Trying to find out what's happening to her and regain control of her life she encounters a variety of people and tries to discover which are her friends and which are her enemies before it's too late. A tragic yet comic tale of a woman coping with a world she does not understand.
