Beskrivelse
The letter written to the Hebrews calls readers to the life of faith in Jesus Christ. Sagging or weak commitment can be replaced by assurance and hope. This epistle has challenged readers for millennia with its complex structure and theology.
The letter written by James has a much different flavor than Hebrews. It was written to guide early Christians, who were likely scattered because of persecution, on how they could live out their faith in practical ways. For James, the faith of Hebrews must be applied every day in our relationships with others.
This commentary attempts to make these books of the New Testament understandable to the average person while also providing enough details for readers to make their own interpretive decisions. It is not intended to be academic but practical and devotional. They are the fruit of prayerful daily study of the Bible.
