Beskrivelse
Infectious diseases are divided into two categories: community-acquired and nosocomial (or hospital-acquired) infections. Today, however, the multiplication of care pathways and care providers, as well as the diversification of care establishments and structures, provide an increasingly important opportunity for the spread of these infections. Dental caries is the world's third most prevalent disease, and the world's leading community-acquired infectious disease. Oral and dental pathologies are at the origin of several infections of the facial mass, many of which may be associated with dental care. Our work assesses the role of healthcare-associated infections in dentistry, and proposes recommendations for limiting them.
