Health Visiting Through the Eyes Of A Child

My hope is to attempt to highlight the different contacts that are made by the health visitor to the families in our care. Then I had the thought to make it from the perspective of the baby highlighting what the baby may be thinking during this time. I wrote poems to portray the baby's feelings about meeting the health visitor from listening to the conversation with parents from the womb to the 8-12 month development review. The poems are sweet and the baby expresses excitement with seeing the health visitor again. The contacts start from pregnancy where the baby hears a new voice and discussion on excitement while waiting for baby to be born. When baby is born the excitement of hearing that voice again at that first contact when the health visitor comes to visit, congratulating the parents on the birth of baby.
