Hard Boiled Eggs

Hard Boiled Eggs tells the story of a thirty-something loser (whose name we never learn) who lives a dismal existence in a dingy Madrid garret. He has no job, no prospects, and spends his time watching pornographic films and microwaving frozen pizzas. One day, a friend offers him a well-paid job: to follow a Ukrainian model and find out if she's cheating on her husband.

Despite his clumsiness, the protagonist discovers that the girl isn't married. He also learns that the friend who gave him the job has been murdered. His investigation leads him to befriend a neighbor of the victim and her dog, forming a peculiar detective team.

The style of the work is as tacky as its protagonist, making use of humor in this parody of the hard-boiled detective novel.
