Beskrivelse
The Handbook of Neuroscience Nursing is designed to be an easy-to-use, pocket-sized reference covering both basic and more advanced aspects of nursing of adult neurosurgical patients. All chapters are succinctly written, with key information being presented in bullet point lists, information boxes, and tables. Each chapter considers a specific neurological disorder. Epidemiology, clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods, treatment goals and methods, and pharmacology are all presented. Nursing implications are considered throughout each chapter, with a section at the end addressing the general nursing care of the disorder in question. This handbook will be of practical value for nurses at all levels, including student nurses, advanced practice nurses, and nurses who already have experience of working with the neuroscience population. It also includes information relevant to therapists, dieticians, pharmacists, social workers, and other healthcare workers.
