Beskrivelse
In a casino in east Texas, shots ring out during a concert.
Wade Perry, an up-and-comer in the Red Dirt music scene refuses to talk to reporters about the shooting that happened during his concert. Instead, he stews in a mess of emotions surrounding the event. Battling personal demons, he lashes out at those closest to him, and he's floored at a meet-and-greet in Oklahoma City when someone he hasn't seen in ten years shows up: Stevie Monroe.
Wade left Stevie a decade ago, each of them having a very different idea about what the future should hold. When Stevie, now a journalist, looks into Wade's eyes, she sees an opportunity to get away from her life in Oklahoma City: the story of the shooting.
Together on a tour bus for several weeks, Wade and Stevie navigate the downfall of their relationship, a political gathering for the NRA, backlash from the country music community, what's really going on in Stevie's current relationship, and the fact that some flames never burn out as Stevie's ulterior motive takes a back seat while she's on that tour bus with Wade.
