The 13th-century prose novel Guiron le Courtois tells the story of the fathers of the Arthurian heroes. The third branch of the work that is presented here illustrates the development from the previous texts, Meliadus and Guiron, and offers valuable insights into the narrative techniques and literary tastes of the period around 1240. Prepared and presented by Venceslas Bubenicek, this critical edition relies on four manuscripts.
