This volume gives a complete overview of governmental records of Modern Bavaria from the times of Montgelas through to the mid 20th century. In addition to workshop reports on state council protocols of the Montgelas era (1799-1817), and to protocols of the Bavarian prime minister and of the Weimar Republic that discuss archive locations, editorial goals, and interim results, the volume contains reports on the archival tradition of the Bavarian state council and council of ministers from 1817 to 1918, as well as from the times of National Socialism.
