Beskrivelse
Greek Painting is a concise study of modern Greek art of the 19th century, dealing with the conditions under which it developed, the sources of its pepertoire and its positive contribution to European art. The book does not aspire to provide a thorough aesthetic analysis of 19th-century Greek painting, but to do something more fundamental: to tell us who were the Greek painters of the 19th century, under what conditions they lived and studied, and to introduce us to their main works.
