Great Big Second Mother

When Sam's mother, sister and brother are killed in a car crash her abusive father brings her to his mother's village. There she meets her distant cousin Amelia and things will never be the same again. Amelia is part of a secret society known as the Women of Bride, sent out of Ireland centuries before by St. Bride in order to protect them and their great work. They are not witches but can communicate with the Earth Mother and use her magic. Sam and her friends embark on the journey to becoming novices, learning secrets of the past and the knowledge they will need to be the protectors of the Mother in the modern World. There are challenges along the way for Sam as she grows closer to David and tries to support Hanna whose family is far from straight forward. Where does this all lead and what is the Mother's gift?
