Grand Opening for Murder

Loralin Robbins' two passions in life are solving mysteries and being involved with her grandparent's old inn. Following her divorce from Elk River PD's Detective Miles Robbins, her life is void of mysteries but after her grandparent's passing, she inherits the inn.

Just days before the grand opening of the fully refurbished and newly named Robbins Nest Inn, the manager runs off leaving Loralin wondering what else will go wrong. Luckily, her much younger best friend, Devin Wentworth, has the experience she needs in a manager and he agrees to move to Elk River -- from Australia, 8900 miles away.

With more than one crisis averted, Loralin enjoys having her best friend close and her dream of opening the inn happening. A day-long Grand Opening celebration leaves her on top of the world. But when someone is murdered in the parking lot the morning after, Loralin's dream threatens to die too.

Can her ex-husband and the slow as molasses Elk River PD get the crime solved and her dream back on track in a timely manner or will Loralin and a reluctant Devin have to give him a helping hand?
