Gospel Desert explains how evangelization and development in Northern Kenya are affected by the interactions of ecology, society, culture and belief systems among the nomadic pastoralists. It is a social scientific and participant observation by the author of how diverse communities living in harsh sweeping desert conditions deal with everyday life. It also an examination the church mission to evangelize and the government mandate to develop the people after years of Islamization and economic underdevelopment.
