After a spacecraft crashes on a remote planet, a religion is formed after a mysterious book is found among the cargo. The religion quickly spreads and becomes a threat to the powers that be. An unassuming man is unwittingly caught up between two opposing factions that both seek to use the man and the religion for their own personal means.
