Join Rosalind, Steve, and noted archaeologist Douglas Elgin as they dig on the island of Crete, in the last decade of the twentieth century, for evidence that Elgin hopes will prove the benevolent nature of his mysterious "Dancing Goddess." The excitement mounts as antiquities smugglers and drug runners close in on the dig. Add to this Steve's love for Rosalind in the face of her obsession with her departed and saintly husband, and you have a recipe for an engrossing tale.
