Patrick Joseph McCall (1861-1919) was a musician best remembered for his epic ballad of the Insurrection of 1798 Boolavogue. His ballads stand as the soundtrack for much of the history of the area, and his life, both in music and through his efforts to change the lives of Dublin’s poor, stands as a monument to a man dedicated to others.
