Joseph Knotts went to Peru 1901-1906 with the Student Volunteer Movement. His letters describe daily life, work and hardships in Perú. Under clouds of revolution and plague, he taught and formed Epworth Leagues, Bible studies, and a church. Knotts founded Tarma English Academy that became Colégio Andino and educated civic and church leaders. Knotts was ordained Methodist and worked as a minister in Oregon for 42 years with young people and Epworth Leagues. This book includes biography, letters, sermon notes and over 100 photos.
