Beskrivelse
Ginger the Pug brings simple text to our inexperienced readers. This book highlights the word "like." Early childhood literacy is vital and helps shape the type of reader your child will become. It is important to read to children as early as in the womb, but it is crucial in the developmental years between 2 and 5. Children will mimic what they see and reading is no different. This book was specifically set up to provide real life photographs and simple text to engage young readers. The expectation is that an accomplished reader could read such a book, modeling for a younger reader. The young reader then will read the book again and again using the adult model for reference. Debbie Appelman was a teacher in the public school system for 16 years. She also has raised two beautiful children of her own. As a teacher, a parent, and now an author, she has developed the Ginger the Pug Series for our developmentally younger readers. Debbie has created a fun, visually appealing book to target our beginning book-lovers in their first stages of reading. Read with your children and watch them take the lead with the predictable text and amusing photos of Ginger.
