Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The Author gratefully acknowledges his indebted ness to his esteemed friend john bullock, Esq., of Sevenoaks, for the generous loan of his valuable col lection of old and scarce handbills, advertisements, and engravings relating to giants and dwarfs, by the use of which materials the Author has added much to the interest and importance of this book.
