These are true ghost stories told by people from Michigan. These ghost stories have been featured in books 12 through 23 and include:
- ''On Christmas Eve one year, we were sitting in the front room listening to music on the stereo. We suddenly heard a child laugh. When we turned our heads, we watched a small cat ball roll all the way across the room. We then saw a dark mist float down the stairs and disappear...''
- ''The home didn't have heat, and there was frost on the glass windows on the enclosed front porch. When I looked out I distinctly saw a handprint melted through the ice from the inside as if someone was looking out. No one else had been on the porch...''
- ''The door handle began to turn rapidly. The door was old and weak, and I could see it ebbing and bowing with each jostle. I screamed at whoever was there to stop. I got the courage and a bat and finally opened the door. There was no one...''
- ''Six months after my father died my mom, sister, and I were sitting in the kitchen. Our front doorbell never worked. My mother said out loud, ''Vince, I wished you fixed the door bell.'' That damn door bell started ringing. Mom laughed. ...''
