Nessa Pompeo is in love with her best friend. Convinced that taking things further will only end in heartbreak, she'll never tell Lucky the truth. Plus, it's clear he doesn't feel the same way for her. If he did, he wouldn't be setting her up on blind dates with every douchebag in his phone.
Lucky O'Brien is about to leave his life in Hollywood to chase his dreams in New York, but breaking the news of his move to his best friend is... harder than he expected. To make the process of saying goodbye easier, Lucky develops a genius plan: to find Nessa a boyfriend. If he can't make her happy, the next best thing is to find someone who can. But Lucky's plot only backfires. Soon, poor Nessa's going on one bad date after another while Lucky's feelings for her are on a fast track out of the friend zone. His only saving grace is that he can at least retreat to his own place at the end of the day to nurse his broken heart in peace.
