Beskrivelse
George Post was born in Oakland, California and felt a profound connection to the land. His expressively rendered plein air compositions captured the essence of California's diverse landscapes in a manner that resonated with both critics and art patrons alike, and his numerous painting excursions abroad widely expanded the geographical scope of his creative vision. Additionally, Post forged a reputation as one of the most influential watercolor instructors of his era, conveying his deeply held principles of artistic craftsmanship to successive generations of students from the 1940s through the 1980s.
The present work showcases a fine array of new photographic images of watercolor paintings by Post utilizing the Kvamme process of digital enhancement.
