Beskrivelse
Genesis Analysis for Pastors is a template for pastors, church leaders and Bible study teachers to present a series of messages on the first eleven chapters of the book of Genesis. There is a message for each of the eleven chapters of Genesis, plus an introductory chapter on how scientists employ theoretical models to use evidence in the present to explain events in the unobserved past. An epilogue chapter is included to tie up some loose ends that require more explanation than the individual messages could cover. Each message is designed to encompass a 30-45-minute presentation, typical for most sermons. The goal of the book is to empower and inspire church leaders to boldly present the authority of the Bible in all areas, but especially in the fields of science where most pastors have limited knowledge. Since the first eleven chapters of Genesis are the portions of the Bible most attacked by skeptics, atheists and evolutionists, the need for this scientific analysis has never been greater than it is today. Assertions that might be challenged by skeptics and secular scientists are amply referenced to credentialed scholars and scientists throughout the book. Lay readers, in addition to church leaders, should find this book to be both informative and spiritually uplifting. Anyone who has harbored some doubts or questions about the "science vs. religion" issue will find that modern science is daily revealing, more and more, the truth of Scripture.
