Beskrivelse
This Bible Study, part of The Bible and Your Work Study Series, works
through Genesis 34-50 and offers biblical guidance for everyday life.
Christians in the workplace will appreciate examining the themes of
conflict, leadership, and calling that are found in this study guide.
God s threefold covenant to Abraham ends with a promise that his
descendants will be a blessing to all nations. The end of Genesis traces the
partial fulfillment of this promise through the chosen lines of Abraham s
descendants, specifically through his great-grandson Joseph.
This third and final study on the book of Genesis follows Joseph from
his lowest point, being sold to slavery by his brothers, to his greatest
achievement, the saving of many lives (Gen. 50:20) as the second-in-command
of Egypt. This study wrestles with several tough issues and cites
Joseph as an example of how to deal with conflicts and feelings of futility,
what it means to be a leader as a Christian, and how we should discern
God s call on our lives and go about accomplishing his will.
These Bible studies are part of The Bible and Your Work Study Series. Each
book contains Scripture references, thought-provoking questions, and
prayers to help you explore what the Bible says about work and apply
it to your life in positive, practical ways. The lessons in each chapter are
designed for thirty-minute lunch breaks, although they can be used in
other formats as well.
