Generations of Shade

Everything must face the end. As the human population recovers from the great wars of thirty years ago, the young Nila Straese discovers that she is a descendant from a long lineage of dark mages, both blessed and cursed with the ability to rapidly disintegrate living flesh and matter. As she embarks on a perilous adventure, she discovers that her true father might be the legendary dragon man himself, Candor Shade -- and that her powers have far greater importance than she ever imagined. As Nila continues her journey in an attempt to master her power, the three populous countries and even the tribal grasslands begin to stir. In the populous country of Lyend, the devout prince Mellwin Gowrett appears to be blessed by divine beasts to reinforce a struggling military, but inequality and revolution begin to brew in the shadows. In the People's Icen Republic, the mysterious Heldara Valendorf recruits eight new conscripts, eager to continue the path of conquest and attempts at enlightenment that her ancestors started. And in the technologically advanced country of Bayselt, the young commander Bestin Steel attempts to mediate conflict between the two countries. Deep underground, as humans continue to foolishly bicker over wealth, power and territory, a mysterious undying has begun to rise. Humans have always craved salvation and immortality, but what does that truly mean?
