General Results of Negro Apprenticeship

I know of more than one instance of Overseers having been dismissed, for cruel and improper conduct, and in short I feel that I am fully warranted in making this report one of a favourable nature, though I think it not at all improbable but that I may not be able to make similar ones on all occasions in future; the balance however I feel assured will be of a pleasant nature.
