Transsexuals are individuals who do not feel comfortable with their bodies, who feel they were born in the wrong body, and how they see themselves psychologically does not agree with their biological sex. Thus, this work aims to analyse how transsexuals are legally recognised and how they obtain their rights in the absence of a specific law regulating them in the Brazilian legal system.
