Gender Affirming Vaginoplasty is a novel reference of the latest research and experience regarding the path followed by persons Assigned Male at Birth (AMAB), who are presenting Gender Dysphoria, and wishing for genital surgery. The book describes the history of Gender Affirming Vaginoplasty (GAV) including social, legal, and ethical aspects of GAV, and explains updated Standards of Care, as published by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. It includes preparation to surgery, different surgical techniques available (inclusive with the most recent developments), surgical results and complications, ways to solve complications; and, finally, surgical procedures for persons who are requesting nonbinary genital surgery, and surgical procedures for persons who are requesting reversal surgery.
