Beskrivelse
This poetry collection, GALLOWAY GATE, meditates on thousands of years of human activity in a spectacular landscape. The Galloway Gate is an ancient drove road running south out of Scotland through Cumbria. At Tebay, where the River Lune flows between the Howgills and the Shap Fells, it travels alongside all the local paths and trackways, Roman and modern roads, the West Coast main railway and the M6 motorway, which have been compelled by geology to follow the river through the Lune Gorge.
