Martin Majaji did his MBA at St. Paul's University, Limuru Kenya and his BBA at Walsh College of Business and Accountancy, Michigan USA. This research is critical in sharpening the foresight of publishing companies in emerging markets. It is especially crucial in crafting alternatives for a sustainable future. Leading African think-tank intellectuals Professor Lilly Wanjiku Njanja and Dr. John Muhoho supervised the research. Professor Njanja did her Doctorate of Commerce at the University of South Africa, MBA at University of Nairobi, Kenya and Bachelor of Commerce at Dayster University, Kenya. Dr. Muhoho did his Doctorate in Organizational Development and Transformation at CEBU Doctors' University, Philippines, MBA at University of Nairobi, Kenya and his Bachelor of Arts (Economics) at Egerton University, Kenya. This research focused on the analysis of four factors affecting the future of registered firms' earnings in the publishing industry. The four factors are technology, economic efficiency, reading culture and consumer behaviour ethics. Nairobi County in Kenya was used as the focus of this research. However, the research can be generalized for all emerging markets.
