A young girl turns up murdered in the swamp and the local sheriff is too lazy to do much about it, so Stone puts down his Bible, picks up his gun, and starts kicking over rocks to see what comes crawling out. He soon discovers there is a sickening darkness at the heart of Whisper Falls and finds himself with a bullseye on his back.
When the vicious cabal corrupting his new hometown targets the people Stone cares about, he reverts to the cold, hard violence of his warrior days, dispensing primal justice.
