Beskrivelse

The present work of case study, wishes to address from a theoretical ethical position, this theme was considered, because it is thought that: "the Case of the Baring Bank" is a really pertinent issue at present before the contemporary capitalist and globalized. This text aims to show how, from the memory of the fatal impasse of the Baring Bank bankruptcy, the initial impulse was represented by the violation of the business code of ethics by Nick Leeson, but also by the negligence of the bank's Human Resources department in carrying out its duties and obligations. In parallel to this commitment and to provide clarity regarding financial and business ethics, an example of financial ethics will be presented through an ethnographic display carried out at a branch of a Colombian bank, Bancolombia. This sample is important in that it allowed the research work to make a comparative analysis with the case of Baring Bank, particularly with regard to the code of ethics and the administrative commitment to customers.
