Friedl Dicker-Brandeis

A richly illustrated appreciation of artist and educator Friedl Dicker-Brandeis and her wide-ranging achievements. Friedl Dicker-Brandeis (1989-1944) was one of the most important students of the Bauhaus. She was a painter, art teacher, and politically active poster artist. Initially, she specialized in textile and graphic design, and later she worked as an interior designer. Her paintings reflect her profound study of the classical avant-garde.
