A story rich with power and greed, the life of Francisco Pizarro is one that has kept readers' attention for centuries. First setting sail to the New World in 1509, Pizarro attached himself to expedition after expedition until he traveled with Vasco Nunez de Balboa to the Isthmus of Panama where he got his first taste of the Wonders of Central America. Under the shadow of Hernan Cortes and his dominance of the Aztec people, Pizarro eventually conquered the Inca and founded the city of Lima before he was assassinated.
